Such a brilliant day.
After getting school out of the way with only 2 lessons in the morning. Headed straight home, had a flop out on the sofa because it was too hot and then got ready to go out to see the Olympic Torch. Got to The Riverfront in Newport, watched all the primary schools perform dance acts on the main stage and some of them were actually pretty good! Then came the runner with the torch, which I proceeded to chase for a good 15 minutes in order to get a good film of them. Ran up into the middle of town and watched them run through again. Next, I headed to the train station to go to Cardiff for the Olympic celebrations in Bute Park. It was set out like a mini festival and a massive stage and the buzz was incredible. 10 minutes after arriving, Emeli Sande performed and she was actually really good. Then got my photo in a hole-in-a-image-thingy… (The things which have your face but give you a funny body or whatever) I really don’t know what they’re called… And also a photo with an Olympic torch which shall be uploaded soon. Also got loads of free coke which was a bonus. Then saw You Me At Six, and having never heard any of their music, I wasn’t too fussed at first, but they we’re pretty good and I got into it. I was also on live television on BBC Wales News. I was 1 person in a crowd of 16,000 but I was there! I could have been seen. Good-old Claire Summers did a news interview with one of the runners who lit a large podium and then it came to an end. Such a goooooooood day. What a way to celebrate the Olympics.
